The 16th edition of the international GastroPan exhibition ended successfully, consolidating its position as the most important event for the baking, confectionery, gelato, chocolate, milling and HoReCa industries in Romania. Over the three days, the event brought together professionals, suppliers and experts in the field, offering a platform for networking, discovering the latest innovations and promoting excellence in the food industry.
An event of innovation and creativity
Visitors had the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art equipment, innovative raw materials and advanced IT solutions that are transforming the bakery and HoReCa industries. Exhibitor stands offered live demonstrations, showcasing technologies designed to optimize production processes and bring added quality to final products.
The Specialists Gallery impressed again this year with spectacular pieces of culinary craftsmanship, made from sugar paste, chocolate and other ingredients, illustrating the mastery and creativity of craftsmen in the field. The works were inspired by both Romanian traditions and international trends, reflecting the talent and passion of the participants.
Bread of the Year 2025 – awards for excellence in baking
One of the most anticipated moments of the exhibition was the Bread of the Year 2025 competition, which brought together the most talented artisan bakers and industrial producers. The winners of the two categories were:
- Bread of the Year 2025 made artisanal: Moara Maria Bakery, for a product that is special due to its authentic taste, natural ingredients and traditional production techniques
- Bread of the Year 2025 made industrial: Bocskor Bakery, awarded for innovation, consistency and superior product quality.
Accessories and Utensils Market – an essential destination for professionals
A major attraction of the edition was the Accessories and Utensils Market, where visitors discovered a wide range of essential products for the bakery, confectionery and HoReCa industry. Exhibitors offered solutions designed to streamline the daily activity of bakers, confectioners and chefs, thus contributing to the development of businesses in the field.
Innovations that define the future of the industry
GastroPan 2025 was not only about tradition, but also about innovation, bringing to the fore solutions and products designed to revolutionize the industry. Among the most interesting novelties presented were: oriental flavors and tastes in gelato, a virtual assistant based on artificial intelligence created specifically for bakery administrators and managers, but also the Carpathian and the Danube chocolate, inspired by the successful chocolate recipes of Dubai. Visitors also discovered a robot that cuts cakes with ultrasound, sustainable packaging, unique jams such as aloe vera jam, but also different types of coffee beans and ground coffee designed to satisfy any preference.
These are just a few of the innovations that attracted the attention of specialists and in the following editions we will continue to explore them one by one, bringing to the fore their impact on the industry.
